It’s that time of year again…WHO wants to win a brand-new Mustang? Someone has to win! And folks it is only $5/ticket or 5 tickets for $20 and you’re giving to a very good cause. The Raffle is the largest fundraiser annually for KDCCP and all proceeds are used to support the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital- – – yes, the funds are staying local! If you purchase a ticket, YOU are making it possible for the next generation of pediatric cancer doctors to establish treatment and a cure for children’s cancer. On March 7th, Kiwanis Club Members, Key Club members, and community volunteers assembled to create wigs made from soft yarn for children undergoing chemotherapy treatment. The event was organized and hosted by the PNW Kiwanis Div. 63 Lt. Governor (Susie Meyer) as part of the “Magic Yarn Project”. The handmade wigs will be donated to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland. A second event is being planned for September 2020.
